Further investigations by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) showed that the fire outbreak was caused by an electrical surge in the children’s room, which resulted in the burning of one of the two-bedrooms in Flat 5, of Block 21, a two-winged, three-storey building of 16 two-bedroom flats.
