There is palpable tension following the killing of the councilor representing Owhase Ward in the Udu Local Government Council of Delta State.
The deceased identified only as Honourable Festus was shot dead by unknown gunmen on Monday.

The assailants targeted the councillor at his residence and delivered a fatal shot to his head.
The incident has been linked to cultism activities according to Sahara Reporters.

The incident was confirmed by the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, saying the police already initiated a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
“Yes one Festus was shot on his head by unknown assailants, the wife informed the brother. We are seriously on their trail,” he said.
