Terrorist Leader Points Finger at Govt Officials over Terrorism | Daily Report Nigeria

Notorious terrorist leader Bello Turji has pointed fingers at the Zamfara State government over the pending terrorism in the land.

Turji accused the current Governor, Dauda Lawal, and his predecessor, Bello Matawalle, now Minister of State for Defence, of politicizing the state’s insecurity issues.

He, believed to have fled Zamfara due to intensified military actions against terrorist groups, sets conditions for restoring peace in the state.

– Collaboration with his group to bring peace and stop the bloodbath in Zamfara.

He criticized the government’s actions, stating they exacerbated the conflict and violence.

According to him, both leaders prioritize their political agendas over the welfare of the local people.

He said:
Governor Dauda Lawal and Bello Matawalle labeling each other as terrorists will not help… they are just politicians without the interest of the people of Zamfara in their hearts.”

A Long-Standing Conflict

Turji asserted the armed conflict in Zamfara predates both Lawal and Matawalle’s administrations, dating back to former Governor Ahmed Yerima’s tenure.

He cited the government’s sale of grazing reserves and legalization of Fulani killings as key factors.

Previous governors, including Muhmud Shinkafi and Abdulaziz Yari, attempted to address the issue, but the conflict persisted.

Turji’s Warning

The killing of Halilu Sububu, described as Turji’s master, has emboldened the younger generation to continue deadly attacks.

Turji warned that only God, not the governors, can stop the conflict.

He said:

Gun and airstrike will not stop us because we are not afraid of death.”
