Terrorists Demand N100m Ransom For Abducted Worshippers in Kaduna | Daily Report Nigeria

Bandits who on Sunday abducted worshippers from two churches in Kajuru Council Area of Kaduna State have demanded a N100m ransom to release their victims.

Daily Report Nigeria had reported how terrorists on motorcycles attacked the Maranatan Baptist Church and the St. Moses Catholic Church on Sunday morning.

The attack left at least three worshippers dead, several others received injuries even as the terrorists abducted dozens of the worshippers.

According to an eyewitness identified as Bashir Usman, the assailants also cut off the ear of one the worshippers during the attack.

The Kaduna State’s Christian Association of Nigeria had confirmed the attack through a statement by its Vice Chairman, Rev. Chris Annger.

Rev. Annger said, “33 people were kidnapped and three worshippers were killed. One person was injured and six motorcycles were carried away by the bandits during Sunday service.”

The Kaduna state government also confirmed the attack through the State Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, saying three worshippers were killed and others kidnapped.

However, traditional ruler of Aungwan Fada at Rubu community, in Kajuru, Elisha Mari, who was also kidnapped by the terrorists, said the bandits set him free upon recognizing him as a monarch.

According to Mari, the terrorists asked him to go sought for a N100 ransom tp secure the release of the kidnapped victims.

The monarch revealed this to newsmen when Heads of Security Agencies and officials of the state government paid him a visit on an on-the-spot assessment tour of the attacked communities on Monday.

Mari said the terrorists invaded the villages with over 30 motorbikes and rode for a minimum two hours with the victim’s before they arrived at the bandits camp.
