In the Zing Local Government Area of Taraba State, terrorists have abducted sixteen individuals, including Rev Cletus Baleri, a Catholic priest.
The incident occurred when gunmen, numbering over 100, attacked the villages of Dekko, Lama, and Monkin during the early hours of Saturday, February 17.
Reports stated that as the villagers attempted to escape into the mountains, many sustained gunshot wounds.

The Spokesman of Taraba State Police Command, SP Usman Abdullahi, confirmed the attack on Sunday but is awaiting further details from the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Zing LGA regarding the actual number of people abducted.

However, others who were included
Ceto Alfred, Bege Mark, Felix Shawulu, Jacob Bayu, Anatus Luka, Timothy Abraham, and Yasida Emmanuel.
The rest were Tsaro Solomon, Oldboy Yohanna, Rejoice Abraham, Mercy Cleopas, James Irimiya, Bulus Timothy, Yohanna Linus, and Evelyn Yohanna.
