Terry G Rates Burna Boy Higher Than Wizkid and Davido, Labels Davido as Africa’s ‘King’

In a recent appearance on The Honest Bunch Podcast alongside hosts Nedu, Husband Material, and Toun Cole, singer Terry G shared his views on the prominence of Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido in the music scene.

Terry G praised Burna Boy, rating him as bigger than both Wizkid and Davido. However, he acknowledged Davido’s status as the sole “king” in Africa.

Explaining his perspective further, Terry G suggested that Wizkid’s music style might not resonate as strongly with Africans compared to Burna Boy’s, who he described as enjoying significant success both locally and internationally.

“The Wizkid vs Davido debate, to me is lame. Davido is the king of Africa. He have African audience.

“He sing unapologetic African music. But Wizkid’s mindset is targeted at crossover. His music no dey too relate to us [Africans]. Burna Boy na im get Africa and International. His is their king. Burna pass two of them.”
