President Bola Tinubu has appointed a former presidential candidate, Fela Durotoye, as media aide.
Daily Report Nigeria reports that Fela Durotoye was a former presidential election candidate under the platform of Alliance for New Nigeria(ANN) in 2019 election.
Also appointed alongside the public speaker are Fredrick Nwabufo, Linda Nwabuwa Akhigbe, Aliyu Audu, and Francis Adah Abah.

The quartet will serve in the Office of the President under the Media and Publicity Directorate.
Durotoye was appointed as (Senior Special Assistant to the President — National Values Social Justice), Nwabufo (Senior Special Assistant to the President — Public Engagement), and Akhigbe as senior Special Assistant to the President — Strategic Communications).
Audu was given the position of (Special Assistant to the President — Public Affairs), and Abah (Personal Assistant to the President — Special Duties).
The appointments were made with full respect for Nigeria’s federal character principle and meritocracy.
Tinubu tasked all new appointees who were serving in the Media & Publicity directorate to uphold the highest standards of decorum and decency in their engagements with all members of the public.
He advised them on their support to the President’s determined bid to renew the hope of Nigerians in a restructured economy and unified society that caters sufficiently to the needs of all, regardless of any differences.
