Tinubu Appoints George Akume SGF

President Bola Tinubu has reportedly appointed Senator George Akume as Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).

Daily Report Nigeria reports that Akume served as Minister of Special Duties under Muhammadu Buhari.

The former Governor of Benue State, is set to take over the position occupied by Boss Mustapha in the out gone administration.

WesternPost reports that President Tinubu choice of Akume, his long time ally as SGF is to pacify the North Central zone as the race for leadership of the National Assembly tickens.

The President is expected to formally announce Akume’s appointment and other personal aides between Friday and Monday next week.

Meanwhile, Tinubu om Thursday announced outgoing Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila as his Chief of Staff.

Gbajabiamila’s appointment follows that of Victor Adekunke Adeleke as his State Chief of Protocol and Nosa Asemota, the official photographer to the President.
