Tinubu Appoints New NEMA DG

President Bola Tinubu has appointed a new Director-General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mrs Zubaida Umar.

In a statement by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, it was revealed that Umar’s appointment is a testament to the President’s commitment to gender equality.

She has a wealth of experience in various fields, including human resources, finance, and administration, spanning over 20 years.

In addition, she is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and the Institute of Credit Administration.

The President expects that the new Director-General of NEMA will improve the agency’s financial, and operational discipline.

She is expected to transform it into a proactive and performance-driven emergency response provider, according to Ngelale.
