“We are taking hard decisions to pave the way for a country that is blessed and so talented.”

The president’s comments come amid widespread criticism of the petrol price hike, which has led to long queues at filling stations and increased hardship for many Nigerians.

However, Tinubu defended the decision, citing the need for economic reforms to drive growth and development.

He said:

We are focused on replicating China’s infrastructure in Nigeria.

“One economic action leads to another, and it is in your hand to build our nation. Mine is to provide the leadership, and I am committed to doing just that.
