Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, on Wednesday, chided his supporters for mentioning the name of the Peoples Democratic Party Lagos Deputy Governorship candidate, Funke Akindele, in his presence.
APC supporters had sang a campaign song, describing Funke Akindele as a political ‘ant’ compared to Governor of Lagos State and Governorship Candidate of the APC in the state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Tinubu while addressing the crowd, tamed their act as an insult.

The APC presidential candidate said;
“Who is Funke Akindele before Sanwo-Olu of Lagos? She is an ant.
“Don’t even bother to mention her name in my presence. It is an insult. It is disrespectful.”
Meanwhile, Akindele, in an interview, a few days ago stated how she would profer solutions in the 2023 governorship election with the Party’s governorship candidate Olajire Adediran.
During the interview session on Channels Television, Akindele noted that she has a great number of people at the grassroots who love her because she is true to herself.
She declared that the love goes beyond the grassroots but also from her 20 million fans on social media.
She said:
“People love me. I have 20 million fans and followers on social media.”
Akindele then added that the love she gets is further narrowed down to Ikorodu, her community in Lagos State.
