Adewale Adeniyi has been confirmed as the substantive Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This was disclosed in a statement on Friday by Willie Bassey, Director, Information at Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
According to the statement, President Tinubu tasked the CG to bring his wealth of experience to bear on his new assignment.
Adeniyi’s appointment takes effect from 19th October 2023, and his tenure follows the extant provisions of the Public Service Rules (PSR).
DAILY REPORT NG recalls that in June, President Tinubu appointed Adeniyi as Comptroller-General of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) to replace Hammed Ali, former CG.
