Tinubu described the FCT minister as “an audacious top performer who defies obstacles and delivers results,” adding that his aggressive renewal of infrastructure has reshaped Abuja in a manner not seen in years.

The President singled out Wike’s intervention on the long-abandoned Apo–Karshi Road, which he said had remained stalled for 14 years before the minister stepped in to revive and complete the project.

Commending his work ethic, Tinubu said Wike has consistently demonstrated a “can-do attitude” and an unwavering drive for excellence in all assignments entrusted to him.

“Nyesom Wike has been one of the shining stars in the cabinet — an exceptional performer who is developing infrastructure in the Federal Capital as never seen before,” the President said.

He added that Wike’s reputation as “Mr Project” has gone beyond Rivers State, noting that the minister has continued to justify the nickname through visible projects and reforms in Abuja.

Tinubu also applauded Wike for supporting the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda despite belonging to a different political party, describing him as one of its key champions within the Federal Executive Council.

The President wished the FCT minister good health, renewed strength and greater accomplishments as he continues to serve the nation.

Wike, a former two-term governor of Rivers State, was appointed FCT minister in August 2023 and has since embarked on an ambitious programme of road construction, urban renewal and infrastructure upgrades across the capital city.
