Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, has declared that President Bola Tinubu has broken the long-standing political and infrastructural marginalisation of the South-East region. He made this statement during a civic reception organised in his honour by the Okposi Okwu community in Ohaozara LGA of Ebonyi State.
Speaking through his Special Adviser on Media, Uchenna Orji, Umahi praised Tinubu for “breaking the jinx of marginalisation” and ensuring “equitable distribution of the dividends of democracy” across all geopolitical zones.

He pointed to his historic appointment as Works Minister and the ongoing federal road projects in the region as signs of the president’s inclusive leadership.
Umahi urged the South-East to rally behind Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections in appreciation of the president’s commitment.
The event drew prominent politicians, including Governors Francis Nwifuru, Peter Mbah, and Dapo Abiodun, as well as former Senate President Pius Anyim and APC chieftain Chief Emma Enukwu.
