The Lagos State Commissioner for Information, Gbenga Omotosho, has refuted
reports of three hours roadblock of major roads in the state during APC Presidential flagbearer, Bola Tinubu’s homecoming on Sunday, June 19.
He, Tinubu arrived Lagos for the first time since he secured the presidential ticket under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and was received by a tumultuous crowd and a long convoy.
A Nigerian man in a video shared online, however, alleged that roads were shut down for three hours by the Lagos state government to welcome Tinubu.

Omotosho, on the other hand, denied the claims via text message sent to Nigerian journalist, Reuben Abati, on Monday, June 20.
The text reads:
“It is all lies. Roads were not shut for three hours. The convoy was formed by party faithfuls and other Lagosians who were excited to see Asiwaju. Governor Sanwo-Olu has directed that the attack on journalists should be investigated.”
