President Bola Tinubu has made Director-General (DG) of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), and Director of the Directorate of Technical Aid Corps (DTAC) appointments.
Tinubu appointed Engr Bisoye Coker-Odusote as the Acting DG of NIMC.
Yusuf Buba Yakub on the other hand was given the position of Director of DTAC.
Both appointments were announced by presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale in a statement on Tuesday.

According to Ngelale, Coker-Odusote’s initial appointment which with effect from August 24, 2023, will be for 90 days.
Thereafter, he will be given a full term of four years as the substantive NIMC DG effective November 24, 2023.
Tinubu’s spokesman explained that Yakub’s appointment takes immediate effect.
For the outgoing NIMC DG, Engr Aliyu Aziz, Ngelale said the President directed the commencement of 90-day pre-retirement leave with effect from August 24, 2023.
Aziz’s eventual retirement from service will be on November 24, 2023, according to the statement.

“Furthermore, President Tinubu approved the appointment of Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub to serve as the Director of the Directorate of Technical Aid Corps (DTAC).
“This follows the recent expiration of tenure of the former DTAC Director/CEO, Dr. Pius Osunyikanmi.”
