President Bola Tinubu has approved the removal of all restrictions on student loans, making them easily accessible to students.
The decision aimed to alleviate the burden of the fuel subsidy removal.
In addition, Tinubu authorized the provision of buses to student bodies in all tertiary institutions across the country.

The initiative was to facilitate student’s access to their campuses, reducing the impact of higher transportation costs.

Moreover, it intended to relieve parents and guardians from the additional financial strain of daily commuting expenses.
Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties, Communications, and Strategy, Dele Alake disclosed the development and said:
“Students can access their campuses without much difficulty as a result of higher transportation costs.
“Similarly, President Tinubu has directed the authorities in all Federal Institutions of higher learning to avoid arbitrary increase in sundry fees payable and where possible defer further increase so that parents and students don’t face too many difficulties.”
