President Bola Tinubu returned to Nigeria on Monday after spending 19 days on a private trip to France and the UK.

He was received at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport by key officials, including Nyesom Wike, Femi Gbajabiamila, and Nuhu Ribadu.
President Bola Tinubu is back in Nigeria following a 19-day absence during which he visited France and the United Kingdom for what was described as a “short working visit.”
He arrived at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja, on Monday evening and was received by top government officials. Present at the airport were Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff, and National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu.
Though details of his trip were not officially disclosed, his media aide Bayo Onanuga had earlier said the visit was meant for the president to “review his administration’s achievements so far.”

Critics, however, raised concerns about his prolonged stay abroad, with opposition leader Atiku Abubakar stating, “Nigeria bleeds while he remains abroad,” and Peter Obi also calling for more accountability amid escalating violence in Plateau, Benue, and Borno states.
