President Bola Tinubu has given his assent to a bill that triples the salaries of judicial officers across the country.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that Tinubu signed the Judicial Office Holders Salaries and Allowances Bill into law on Tuesday to enhance the welfare of judicial officers at both federal and state levels.

The development was contained in a statement released in Abuja by Sen Basheer Lado, Special Adviser to the President on Senate Matters.

Recall that this follows the approval of the bill by the National Assembly in June, which was a response to an executive bill submitted by the President.
