President Tinubu Summons Ex-Rivers Sole Administrator to Aso Rock

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday summoned the immediate past Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Mr Ibok-Ete Ibas, to the State House, Abuja.

Ibas arrived at the Villa at about 5:50 p.m., shortly before the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr Ola Olukoyede, and the Minister of Finance, Mr Wale Edun, also made their way into the presidential residence.
Although the Presidency has not released details of the closed-door meeting, the presence of the anti-graft chief and the nation’s finance minister has heightened speculation that discussions may have centred on governance, accountability, and financial matters linked to the oil-rich state.
