Supporters of President Bola Tinubu on Thursday protested at the Secretariat of the European Union in Nigeria.
The protesters under the aegis of Coalition of Civil Society Organisation and Political Parties for Good Governance the EU secretariat in Abuja to protest against its report on the outcome of the 2023 presidential election.
Daily Report Nigeria reports that the protesters bore placards with varying inscriptions such as ‘Nigerians reject EU election observer report’, ‘Don’t trigger violence in Nigeria’ and ‘We say No to manipulated report.’
The also chanted the ‘On your mandate’ campaign anthem of President Tinubu in solidarity with the former Lagos governor.

The protesters demanded to see the European Union Ambassador to Nigeria, Ms Samuela Isopi and Deputy Head of the EU to Nigeria, Alexandre Borges-Gomes.
The development is coming on the the ls of the final report by the European Union Election Observation Mission on Nigeria’s February 25 presidential poll.
The EU had labeled the elections as lacking transparency owing to several irregularities in a preliminary findings submitted by Chief Observer, Barry Andrews.
However, Coordinator of the coalition, Dr Ene Ogbole, however, faulted the report, saying it was a deliberate attempt to create chaos in the country.
