President Bola Tinubu has not yet submitted his ministerial nominees’ list to the national assembly, according to Olakunle Olanrewaju, his Special Adviser (SA) on national assembly matters.

As the deadline approached,
with Tinubu having been in office for over 50 days, Nigerians eagerly awaited the announcement of the ministers who will assist him in governing the country.

The law stipulated that a President should name his/her cabinet within 60 days of taking office and submit it to the Senate for confirmation.

Reports held that suggestions have been made for the President to appoint technocrats and reward party loyalty with ministerial positions.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Tinubu will be sending his final list of ministerial nominees to the national assembly.

The list, which had been prepared weeks ago, was recently tweaked for further refinement, according to reports.

Also, there have been reports that the President has sent his list of preferred cabinet members to relevant security agencies for thorough scrutiny.
