Ahead of the May 29 swearing-in ceremony, Chief Mujidat Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, a daughter of the president-elect, Bola Tinubu has appealed to Nigerians.

She has asked for Nigerians support and prayers for her father.

Tinubu-Ojo stated that the President-elect needed the people to succeed in leading the country to the promised land.

She said this on Saturday, March 25, at the Ansar-ud-Deen Society of Nigeria (ADSN) 28th annual Ramadan Lecture and Special Prayer for the Nation held in Abuja.

She confirmed that her father’s victory in the February 25 elections marked the beginning of work for the president-elect and all Nigerians.

Tinubu-Ojo said:

“I called on Nigerians to pray and support our president-elect to make him succeed in making Nigeria the best for all.

“He cannot do it alone and Nigerians must support him, even after the elections.”

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC declared Tinubu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress winner of the February 25 presidential election.

The former Lagos state governor defeated 17 other candidates and opponents who took part in the election.

The ruling party’s candidate scored a total of 8,794,726 votes, the highest of all the candidates.

He also scored over 25 per cent of the votes cast in 30 states, more than the 24 states constitutionally required.

The President and Vice President-elect were presented Certificates of Return on Wednesday February 29 at the National Collation Centre by INEC and are awaiting the final handover ceremony in May.
