She admitted that some critics questioned the album’s appeal, citing its unique sound and the absence of features from high-profile artists.
Despite the skepticism, Savage collaborated with a handpicked selection of artists, including Nigerian-British rapper Skepta, Taves, and Flauntleroy. The album offers a balance of energetic hits and introspective tracks, including standout songs like “I’m Done,” “Angel Dust,” “On The Low,” “Holding It Down,” “10%,” “Twisted,” “Scared Of Love,” “Pray No More,” “Addicted,” and the interlude “This One Is Personal,” among others.
Since her debut, Savage has become one of Africa’s most celebrated artists, earning international recognition and numerous awards. This release follows her critically acclaimed albums Once Upon a Time (2013), R.E.D (2015), and Celia (2020).
Earlier this year, Savage marked 12 years in the music industry, reflecting on her journey and resilience. She shared, “I’m proud to be still standing,” a testament to her dedication and lasting impact on the global music scene.
