Tobi Amusan stormed through the hurdles in Paris, crossing the line in 12.24 seconds—her fastest this season and just shy of her own 12.12s world record.
Right from the start, American Grace Stark burst ahead, powering to a stunning 12.21s personal best and meeting record.

Yet when Amusan hit her stride in those final meters, you could almost hear the crowd hold its breath as she closed the gap, only to finish just behind.
Jamaica’s Ackera Nugent grabbed bronze in 12.30s.
Earlier this year, Amusan posted two fourth-place finishes – 12.74s in Xiamen and 12.66s in Shaoxing before bouncing back with a win and stadium record of 12.45s in Rabat.
Now, after four Diamond League races, she’s clicking into gear right before the big championships.
With ten points on the board, she trails leaders Grace Stark (23), Danielle Williams (15), and Marione Fourie (12), keeping the battle for Zurich wide open.
