Popular business mogul cum politician, Chief Apostle Godpower Tomone has been honoured with a Quality Leadership Award by the Advocate For Good Governance in Nigeria (AFGGN).
Tomone was presented with the honour by the AFGGN’s Executive Director, Dr. Amb. Awalu Malik on Friday at his Warri office in company of friends, business partners and close associates.
Presenting the award, Malik, who was represented by Amb. Iyke Monday, explained that the AFGGN aims at “contributing to improving the democratic and governance process in Nigeria.”
“In Advocate for Good Governance in Nigeria, we celebrate outstanding leaders who have made some impressive contributions to humanity,” he added.

Malik said Tomone was honoured for his “uncommon contributions to humanity and enviable sterling leadership qualities and as such we wish to congratulate you for your nomination and subsequent confirmation as the Face of Community Development.
“Your nomination and confirmation came after passing through a very intensive screening via our various online, social media and physical assessments of your noble gestures.”
The body further charged the award recipient to remain astute in his uncommon practices.
“As Nigeria and Nigerians are currently seeking for quality and qualified leaders with high level of integrity and impeccable moral standards, we are encouraging you to make yourself available for the service of this nation as personalities like you are in high demand.”
Accepting the award, Tomone exercised gratitude to the AFGGN for counting him worthy for the award. He noted that “the accolade was a challenge on me to continue in the path of humanitarian services and it is my resolve to remain on this path.”
