Tompolo has questions to answer – EFCC speaks on viral video

  • The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has stated that Chief Government Ekpemupolo, aka Tompolo, has questions to answer regarding a viral video showing him allegedly engaging in naira abuse.

  • The video clip captured parts of Tompolo’s 54th birthday celebration, showing a man lavishly spraying N1,000 notes before him.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has broken its silence on a viral video showing Chief Government Ekpemupolo, widely known as Tompolo, allegedly engaging in naira abuse.

The video clip, which captured parts of Tompolo’s 54th birthday celebration in April, shows a man lavishly spraying N1,000 notes before him.
The video sparked outrage on social media, with many calling on the EFCC to take action and arrest Tompolo, just like other offenders. In response, the EFCC stated on its official X handle: “Nobody is above the law. Tompolo will have questions to answer.
