Tantita Security Services Limited, TSSL, is a security outfit that has gained prominence in recent times following its fruitful activities in curbing oil theft in Nigeria.
Mostly referred to as just Tantita, the security outfit forced its way to the heart and knowledge of Nigerians following the award of a N4 billion monthly pipeline surveillance contract to the foremost Niger Delta warlord, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo.
In less than two months to the commencement of its operations, Tantita has uncovered more than 58 minor tappings on major pipelines owned by the Nigerian government.
The surveillance provider has also discovered two major illegal pipelines connected to the deep sea that has been used by oil thieves over the years.

In fact, the discovery of a 4-kilometer illegal pipeline by the outfit along the Trans Escravos line was received with rude shock among Nigerians.
A similar discovery was made by Tantita less than a week after that.
This time, the pipeline was attached to the SPDC line at the Forcados Terminal in Ogulagha, Delta State.
According to the team, the illegality was taking place less than a kilometer from a military checkpoint, further raising eyebrows on the involvement of the security personnel in the business of oil thievery.
Who Owns Tantita Security Services Limited?
At the announcement of the pipeline security contract, many concluded that the security outfit was owned by the revered Niger Delta freedom fighter.
However, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation explained that Tompolo was not the owner of the outfit to which the contract was awarded.
The NNPCL Group Managing Director, Melee Kyari emphasized that Tompolo only has an interest in Tantita.
A look into the registration details of Tantita Security Services Ltd showed that Tompolo is just one of the directors of the company that is listed as a Private Unlimited Company.
