The leadership of Torugbene community in Burutu Local Government Area, has lauded the lawmaker representing Burutu Federal Constituency, Julius Pondi, for being worthy representative.
The community gave the commendation when a delegation led by the President of Torugbene Consultative Forum, Pastor Kenneth Ogiebiri, paid Pondi a “Thank You” visit at his country home in Sokebolou, on Sunday.
The community lauded the lawmaker for attracting the needed dividends of democracry to its people and the entire constituency.

It thanked Pondi on behalf of sons and daughters working with the lawmaker, projects sited in Torugbene such as the renovation of Keneyinbo Primary School, installatiaon of solar street lights, repeated purchase of JAMB forms for students, creation of employment of opportunities for its indigenes, his love for Torugbene, amongst others.
The entourage, which came bearing gifts for the lawmaker, included the Torugbene community Chairman, Mr. Pius Seaman, Amananawei, Chief Ben Seikakere, Treasurer Burutu Council, Progress Dimaro, Barr Oweilaemi Pereotubo, Hon. Tonkiri Apu, Emmanuel Akpule and the spokesperson for the Ijaw National Congress, Engr. Ezonebi Oyakemeagbegha.
The visit was endorsed by Chief J. T Government and Godknows Angele, Chairman Burutu Council.
In his response, Pondi said he was overwhelmed by the gesture and expressed readiness to outdo his previous achievements if voted for a third term.
