Tragedy Strikes as Five Die in Edo APC Governorship Candidate’s Campaign Vehicle Accident

A devastating accident involving a campaign bus owned by the Edo State APC gubernatorial candidate, Monday Okpebholo, has resulted in the loss of five lives.

The incident occurred on the Warrake-Afuze road in the Owan East Local Government Area of Edo State.
According to reports, the campaign bus collided with a private car, resulting in the tragic deaths of five individuals.
The victims, who were identified as Emmanuel Edionwe and four others, were returning from a funeral when the accident occurred.

Eyewitnesses attribute the cause of the accident to poor driving, stating that the campaign bus collided with the victims’ silver Camry Sedan while navigating a tight curve on the road.

A family member of Emmanuel Edionwe expressed their sorrow, stating, “We are devastated beyond words. Emmanuel was a good, easygoing boy who should not be dead today.”

The FRSC Sector Commander for Edo State, Matthew Cyril Zango, confirmed the incident, noting that two fatalities were reported, contrary to initial reports of five deaths.

Zango stated that the APC’s campaign vehicles were traveling from Auchi to Afuze when one of the vehicles collided with a silver Camry Sedan.
