This follows petitions by the presidential candidates of Labour Party, Peter Obi; and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, challenging Tinubu’s declaration as winner of the election.

However, all petitions were struck off by a five-man panel of justices on the grounds of lacking merit.

Reacting to the development, the youth group in a statement by signed by its Secretary, Abubakar Hassan Ojo and Spokesman, Comrade Temilolu Fagbote congratulated ‘President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his well deserved victory at the tribunal’

The group urged Tinubu to henceforth, “focus on delivering on the mandate, carrying the youths along as promised in his manifesto; giving 20% of political appointments to ministries, departments and agencies to qualified people Under 40.

“We also commend the presidents recent efforts in attracting much needed FDI into the country…his current efforts at the G20 which we hope Nigeria will soon be a part of show a lot of promise.

“We also commend Mr President on his drive to leverage on the immense gas potential of the country with the setting up of the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (PCNGI).

“This will in the long term bring much succour to Nigerians who are understandably feeling the harsh effects of the long overdue fuel subsidy removal.”
