The Delta Election Petitions Tribunal has declared the Delta South Senatorial District election inconclusive.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that the tribunal voided the victory of Joel Onowakpo of the All Progressives Congress, who was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

During its sitting in Asaba, the tribunal declared the February 25 election inconclusive and ordered a re-run within 90 days in Warri South Local Government Area.

The tribunal earlier declared Michael Diden of the Peoples Democratic Party eligible to contest the election.
