Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the suspect was arrested by members of the Sector 5 troops of Operation UdoKa, operatives of the 63 Brigade, and the Department of State Services (DSS).

Confirming the arrest, security analyst, Zagazola Makama identified the suspect as Emeka Omenife, adding that he was intercepted with a truck laden with “over 164,000 live cartridges” on May 29 along the Asaba-Onitsha Expressway.
Confessing to the crime, Emeka confessed to being a member of a terrorist syndicate who specialized in transporting ammunition from Ghana to Nigeria.

His accomplice, Uchenna Obiora, was arrested on May 30 at the Onitsha-Awka tollgate while waiting for the ammunition consignment.
