According to military sources, the suspects—identified as Haruna Samari and Dantala Mamman—were arrested with a stockpile of weapons and other suspicious items in their possession.

Items recovered during the raid included one submachine gun, a submachine gun magazine loaded with ten rounds of 9mm ammunition, an empty 7.62mm special ammunition case, two locally fabricated rifles, three single-barrel guns, three Dane guns, five live cartridges, four used cartridge cases, a Beofeng radio, and a helmet.

The army said the successful raid is part of its intensified efforts to rid the region of armed criminal elements and ensure the safety of communities across Taraba State.
