Nigerian troops from the Joint Task Force Northwest Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD) have neutralized notorious bandit leader Kachallah Buzu and several of his fighters in Zamfara State.
The operation occurred on September 12 in Mayanchi village, following detailed intelligence on the bandits’ movement.
The troops laid a strategic ambush, resulting in the elimination of Buzu and many of his men. They also confiscated 30 motorcycles and a significant stockpile of weapons, dealing a severe blow to the group’s operational strength.
This successful raid marks a critical victory in the ongoing military campaign to restore peace and stability in the troubled Northwest region, where banditry has long been a threat to communities.
