Troops under Operation FANSAN YANMA have eliminated seven armed bandits and seized four motorcycles during a raid in Baba, Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama, who shared the update on Friday, said the operation was carried out on Thursday after the military received credible intelligence about the movement of bandits disturbing farming communities.

The encounter, which lasted for more than two hours, left seven of the attackers dead while others escaped with gunshot wounds.
During the raid, troops also recovered four motorcycles believed to have been used by the criminals.
Makama added that residents were encouraged to continue providing timely intelligence to security agencies to strengthen ongoing operations and safeguard communities, particularly in the rainy season when farming activities are at their peak.

He described Prof. Maqary as “a beacon of knowledge, a servant of Allah, and an agent of social transformation” and commended his unwavering commitment to empowering women through education while adhering to Islamic principles.
