According to the Director of Defence Media Operations, Maj Gen Edward Buba, the military has been making steady progress in its quest to destroy all criminal elements perpetuating insecurity in the country.

“The war against terrorists, insurgents, violent extremists and others perpetrating insecurity in the country wages on, and troops are sustaining the momentum to achieve victory,” Buba said. “Indeed, the armed forces are steadily progressing towards the goal of destruction of all these elements.”

The military high command also revealed that the strongholds of two notorious terrorist leaders were destroyed in Katsina and Kaduna states.

Buba added that troops denied oil theft worth an estimated N795,683,395.00 and crippled crude oil theft activities in Rivers State. Two female terrorist collaborators were also apprehended.
