In a 7-day series of operations, the Nigeria military troops have succeeded in neutralizing 180 terrorists, apprehended 204 others, and rescued 234 kidnapped victims.
According to a statement from Major-Gen. Edward Buba, the Director of Defence Media Operations, on Friday, the operations, involving both land and air interdictions, were conducted across various theatres of operation.
Major-Gen. Buba revealed the outcomes, stating that 148 assorted ammunition and 46 assorted weapons were recovered, including 30 AK47 rifles, two Josef Magnum pump-action guns, one double-barrel gun, and two single-barrel guns.

Other weapons recovered include: Three RPG chargers, 12 locally-made pistols, 13 Dane guns, one hand grenade, nine locally-made rifles, and two locally-made hand grenades were seized.
The gallant troops also retrieved 32 magazines, 34 vehicles, 64 mobile phones, 47 motorcycles, N1.5 million, 120 rounds of 7.62mm NATO, 364 rounds of 7.62mm special ammo, 54 live cartridges, 11 rounds of empty cases of 7.62mm special ammo, among other items.
He further disclosed that the troops of Operation Hadin Kai, during the week, neutralized 19 terrorists, arrested 52, and rescued 134 victims of kidnapping in the Northeast.
The recovery included three vehicles, eight mobile phones, three motorcycles, one bicycle, six AK47 rifles, 58 rounds of 7.62mm special ammo, seven live cartridges and two camouflage magazine carrier jackets.
He elaborated that the troops conducted fighting patrols in Gulani Local Government Area of Yobe, leading to the arrest of kidnappers and illegal miners. They also discovered and detonated improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in Monguno, Mafa, and Gwoza Local Government Areas of Borno.

In addition to that, the troops eliminated suspected ISWAP/JAS terrorists in Madagali, Adamawa, and Maiduguri Municipal Council areas in Borno State.
The Director of Defence stated that between November 22 and 28, a total of 91 terrorists surrendered to the troops. This group comprised 13 adult males, 35 adult females, and 43 children.
