Troops attached to the Forward Operating Base have rescued three kidnapped individuals in the Mabai area of Katsina State.
This was revealed in a statement by the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Dr. Nasir Mua’zu, who said the operation was launched in response to a distress call from Anguwan Kasale village. According to him, the victims were found with their hands and legs bound.

The rescued persons were identified as Umar Isa, 27; Abdulrahman Sa’ada, 28; and Usman Auwal, 60. They are currently in safe custody, the statement confirmed.

A tragic road accident involving two trucks has claimed the life of a police inspector at a checkpoint along the Abeokuta-Sagamu Expressway in Ogun State.
The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. on June 29 near the Judiciary Complex checkpoint. Preliminary findings revealed that a FAW truck carrying 900 bags of cement approached the checkpoint at high speed and rammed into a stationary FAW mini truck, which had halted in compliance with checkpoint instructions.
