  • Troops from the Forward Operating Base rescued three kidnapped victims in the Mabai area of Katsina State after responding to a distress call from Anguwan Kasale village.
  • The victims—Umar Isa (27), Abdulrahman Sa’ada (28), and Usman Auwal (60)—were found with their hands and legs tied and are now in safe custody.
  • Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Dr. Nasir Mua’zu, reaffirmed the Radda administration’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents.

 

Troops attached to the Forward Operating Base have rescued three kidnapped individuals in the Mabai area of Katsina State.

This was revealed in a statement by the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Dr. Nasir Mua’zu, who said the operation was launched in response to a distress call from Anguwan Kasale village. According to him, the victims were found with their hands and legs bound.

The rescued persons were identified as Umar Isa, 27; Abdulrahman Sa’ada, 28; and Usman Auwal, 60. They are currently in safe custody, the statement confirmed.

Dr. Mua’zu further assured residents that the administration of Governor Dikko Umaru Radda remains fully committed to safeguarding the lives and property of all citizens in the state.

Speeding Truck Kills Police Inspector at Checkpoint on Abeokuta-Sagamu Expressway

A tragic road accident involving two trucks has claimed the life of a police inspector at a checkpoint along the Abeokuta-Sagamu Expressway in Ogun State.

The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. on June 29 near the Judiciary Complex checkpoint. Preliminary findings revealed that a FAW truck carrying 900 bags of cement approached the checkpoint at high speed and rammed into a stationary FAW mini truck, which had halted in compliance with checkpoint instructions.
