According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, troops stationed at Kufai Amadu received distress intelligence around 1:13 p.m. on Friday, alerting them to the abduction.
Acting immediately, soldiers mobilised to the village and were informed that the attackers were suspected herdsmen relocating from the area. The troops launched what was described as an “aggressive and robust search-and-rescue operation”, tracking the kidnappers along their escape route.

The operation extended through bush paths and the power line corridor linking Taraba and Benue States, applying sustained pressure on the fleeing suspects.
“Following the aggressive and robust search-and-rescue operation, the kidnappers abandoned the victim in the bush and fled,” a security source said.
Mrs. Ayinba was later found and rescued unharmed. While the suspects remain at large, the mission was considered successful due to the safe recovery of the victim.
The incident comes amid growing concerns over kidnapping and rural insecurity across Nigeria, particularly in farming communities.
