Truck Crash Claims Six Lives in Ogun

A devastating road accident occurred in the Enugada area of Lafenwa, Abeokuta, Ogun State on Thursday, leaving six people dead. “I think the truck lost control and rammed into a vehicle and a motorcycle, including some pedestrians who were walking by the roadside,” an eyewitness said.

The eyewitness described the horrific scene, saying, “It was like a movie, I couldn’t believe my eyes.” A video obtained by our correspondent showed the lifeless and mutilated bodies of some victims, with sympathizers wailing in the background.

 

Babatunde Akinbiyi, spokesperson for the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, confirmed the incident in a telephone conversation, stating, “There is a fatal road traffic accident at Enugada Lafenwa. The rescue operation is ongoing.”

 

Rescue efforts are currently underway, and further details will be provided as more information becomes available.
