Former President Donald Trump has directly blamed President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for Iran’s recent missile attack on Israel.

This comes in the wake of reports from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stating that Iran launched a significant missile strike, firing hundreds of projectiles without initial reports of casualties.

In a rally in Waunakee, Wisconsin, Trump asserted, “Joe Biden and Kamala Harris made Iran rich in a very short period of three and a half years.”

He claimed that under Biden’s leadership, Iran has amassed approximately $300 billion, which he argued has enabled the Islamic Republic to support militant groups like Hamas and Hezbollah.

“They pay $6 billion every time they have someone that was kidnapped. Iran was on the verge of bankruptcy. They had no money left,” Trump said, criticizing the Biden administration for a sanctions waiver issued in September 2023.

This waiver allowed for the transfer of $6 billion in frozen Iranian funds from South Korea to Qatar.
