A tense exchange between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the Oval Office on Friday marked a significant low point in relations between the two leaders.

The confrontation, which was visible to television cameras, highlighted the uncertain trajectory of American support for Kyiv.

The meeting began with cordial introductions but quickly devolved into an acrimonious confrontation.

The discussion grew even more intense as Trump, his voice rising, warned, “You’re gambling with the lives of millions of people. You’re gambling with World War III.” Vice President JD Vance also accused Zelensky of being “disrespectful” toward his American hosts.
