The Trade Union Congress (TUC) has declared a one-day protest in Lagos State on Monday, September 25.

TUC president, Festus Osifo, made the declaration during a press conference held in Lagos on Friday.

According to Osifo, the protest was aimed at expressing the Union’s dissatisfaction with the Lagos State Government’s actions towards the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), an affiliate of the TUC.

The National Industrial Court had previously ordered the reinstatement of RTEAN’s operations in Lagos State and nullified the state government’s appointment of a caretaker committee on transportation.

The TUC stressed that its protest was a response to the Lagos Government’s appeal against this judgment.
