A faction of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP led by Tanimu Turaki has announced that it has recorded over 4.2 million members through its ongoing nationwide digital registration exercise.
Speaking in Abuja, the factional National Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong, said the figure—4,264,675 members—was achieved despite the tight timeframe earlier set by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

He explained that the party deployed mobilisation teams across the country, reaching both rural and urban areas to ensure broad participation in the exercise, which is scheduled to last for three weeks.
Ememobong described the process as demanding but successful, noting that volunteers and ward registration agents played a key role in achieving the milestone.
“We created the digital platform, mobilised human resources… and went into the nooks and crannies of our rural and urban areas where our members reside,” he said.
The party expressed satisfaction with the progress so far, stating that the initiative was timely as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
