Operatives of the Adamawa police department have arrested two suspects for the alleged murder of a man for his involvement in witchcraft.
According to reports, the accused – 35-year-old Adamu Alhaji Bamu and Manu Alhaji Bamu, 32, are both residents in Toungo local government area of the state.

Speaking on the arrest, the spokesperson of the command, SP Suleiman Nguroje said the suspect have confessed to the crime, adding that one of the suspect, Adamu said that the deceased “not born a witch but he was inducted into it when he lost all his cattle.” He added that the deceased had earlier informed them of “his intention to buy witchcraft for the purpose of killing his father and inherit his cattle.”

He added that the victim had earlier tried to bewitch Adamu’s children after he failed to kill hia father, and that he had killed hia daughter, known as Hurera, and he doesn’t regret his action.
The suspect said he used matchete to hit Umaru four times while his brothers beat him up with sticks leading to his death.
