At least two people have been killed and several others abducted following coordinated bandit attacks on Damari in Sabuwa Local Government Area and Faras in Matazu LGA of Katsina State.

Security analyst Bakatsine revealed the incident on X on Saturday, reporting that the attacks occurred simultaneously on Friday night.

According to the post, “One person was killed in each community, with several abductions reported.”

Bakatsine added, “Rural areas in Katsina South remain under constant threat.”

As of the time of reporting, authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding the attacks.

At least 19 athletes representing Kano State have been confirmed dead following a catastrophic accident on Saturday at Dakatsalle Bridge in Kura Local Government Area.

The athletes were reportedly en route from Abeokuta, Ogun State, where they had participated in the recently concluded National Sports Festival.
