The development was disclosed by human rights activist and security advocate, Comrade Harrison Gwamnishu, in a statement on his official Facebook timeline. According to him, the operation was made possible through intelligence tracking facilitated by the Delta State Government.

“The success of this operation was facilitated by the TRACKER from the Delta State Government House Asaba,” he wrote.

Gwamnishu revealed that the two neutralised suspects were part of the group responsible for the recent abduction of two female students from Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku, at Azagba-Ogwashi near the Rain Oil Gas Plant, as well as the kidnapping and shooting of an estate supervisor at Ubulu-Okiti.

He commended the proactive efforts of the Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, saying: “I express gratitude to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his unwavering support in ensuring we have the necessary resources.

“Special thanks to the Military 63 Brigade Garrison Commander, military head heading Oshimili North, and military head heading Aniocha South for their prompt response.

“I also appreciate the DPO Ogwashi-Uku for being readily available to assist our people.

“My gratitude goes to my team, particularly Intel Ejemizu Chidozie Peters, for being vigilant and prepared to join me at any time.”
