Two Suspected Vandals Nabbed in Borno | Daily Report Nigeria

Two suspected vandals of electricity cables have been nabbed in Borno State by Yola Electricity Distribution Company Yola Electricity Distribution Company (YEDC).

YEDC, made this known on its verified Facebook page, noting that the continuous act of vandalism around substations is detrimental to its mission to rehabilitate, rebuild and reinforce the network.

It wrote: “Recently, two individuals were apprehended while vandalizing the cables at a substation in Kwajjafa, Hawul Local Government Area of Borno State. Other communities affected are Federal Housing Estate No.3, Sangere Futy, Graveyard, and Nyibango-Barracks Road Substations in Adamawa State”,

The electricity distribution company, which said the act of vandalization causes prolonged outages and service disruptions to the affected communities and businesses,  also appealed to communities to remain vigilant and report any individual or group of persons seen illegally tempering with distribution assets, especially substations and transformers.
