Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro has celebrated the Flying Eagles passage to the semi-final at the 2023 U-20 African Cup of Nations.
Peseiro also felicitated with the team for securing a place at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
The Flying Eagles achieved both feats after beating the Hippos of Uganda by a lone goal to secure their place into the semi-final on Thursday night.

Ibrahim Juma scored an own goal on the half hour mark to ensure victory for Ladan Bosso’s side.
“Congratulations to our Flying Eagles, who have guaranteed a spot in U20 World Cup in May, as well as being through to the semi-finals of the U20 AFCON,” Peseiro wrote in his Twitter handle.
The Flying Eagles will face winner of the quarter-final tie between Gambia and South Sudan in the semi-final on Monday.
